While photography, music and art had always been a source of pleasure for Simon Brown, a UK based e-commerce manager, he would have never guessed the combination of the three would change his life for good. Diagnosed at the age of 43 with young-onset Parkinson’s disease (PD), a neurodegenerative disorder associated with a loss of dopamine-generating cells in the brain, Simon discovered an incredible relief from the tremors, muscle stiffness and depression attributed to the disease through his photography, music and art production.

Through his research, Simon learned that art therapy was a documented treatment for Parkinson’s disease and has been striving to share his transformative work across the Parkinson’s community to provide solace to those suffering from the depression or anxiety associated to the disease.
