About

Here's what's going on with Dumbprov.

About Us
Dumbprov is Jason Field, Bryan DeBaets, and Rob Weeks, but we wouldn't be anything without our guests and audience!

We're longtime friends who have drifted in and out of each other's lives, and after some collaboration on other projects the idea came up to work together on something long-term. Something we could build into a sustainable entertainment endeavor for the benefit of our audience, our guests, and ourselves as two dudes who want to get better at improv and comedy in general. We've both had our own individual interest in comedy, from stand up to sketch to improv, but neither of us have any real experience, so we see this as our way to contribute to the comedy community while we learn the ropes ourselves.

Our Goals

We created this show to go live. Before we can do that it has to be self-sustaining.
Both of us work on numerous projects, have full-time jobs, large families, and limited finances due to all of those things. We believe in this project's ability to succeed and become a real contributor to the community, and we are committed to seeing it stretch far and wide, but for that to happen we have to be able to focus on improving the show and not how to pay for the next Libsyn bill or new microphone for our guests. Beyond the podcast, streaming, and live show, we intend on creating all forms of media. From art to animation, youtube videos to original music.

How We Get There

Merch and Ticket sales will help, but the real foundation is the Patrons, that's you.
We don't want to charge too much for our live shows because the idea is to make comedy both affordable and accessible on a larger scale locally.
We don't control the prices of our merch yet because the sales outlets available to us are limited, and the money made off those outlets is literally %20 of the sales made.
This means you, the fans, the listeners, the true lovers of comedy, are the backbone of this mission. It's you who will decide how big this gets, and how far we get to spread the laughter.

So we hope you consider joining us as we jump in ass-first to the world of comedy, live shows, streaming, and making people laugh.
