Milestone Goals
Finish making my first album!
I plan on releasing my currently-in-the-works EP, "Cram Sessions", entirely from my own funds and whatever Patreon funding I receive up to this goal; then, after I hit this goal, I will use this funding and any income from "Cram Sessions" to get going on my first full-length album! By that point I should have plenty of material to go on (and I will start adding on more, specifically album-related awards for my spectacular, beautiful Patrons!)
This amount of money coming in per finished song or video should be enough for me to pay for some audio production help (or the classes and equipment to get more knowledgeable with it myself), purchase any further equipment I may need, and make sure I can get a little extra time off of work to record some awesome, quality music for all of you wonderful people.

About
Hello friends!
About Me: I am a part-time musician, full-time working father, purveyor of prose, and general lover of putting words in white spaces and music in quiet spaces. I watch the world around me and I sing about it.
About My Sound: My sound leans heavily towards acoustic pop with prevalent folk influences, but I take root in an eclectic mix of artists, including (but not limited to): Iron and Wine, Jason Mraz, Modest Mouse, Anberlin, Bastille, and Ed Sheeran. My lyrics tend to be highly metaphor-driven, and my songs run the gamut from emotive to socially conscious. I also do stuff with loop pedal!
Want to know more? Watch a show, get to know me; I'd love to know you!
Love,
Dustin

HEY BEAUTIFUL PERSON
Yeah, I'm talking to you.
Thanks for taking the time to check me out here on Patreon. My intro video pretty much says it all, but if you feel like doing some more reading, then hey! Feel free to keep on keeping on.
About Me:
---
I am a father of two adorable little ones, ages three and 18 months.
They are the light in my life, and they make me grin like an idiot when nothing else can. They also love music, as you can see in the picture below, and it is partially for their sake that I want to make music a reality in my life (and subsequently theirs) - I want to show them that music is a dream they can realize in their lives, if that is what they so desire when they get older.
I am also a general purveyor of poetics and prose.
In addition to songwriting, I dabble in poetry and fiction, some of which you can find on my WordPress or Tumblr. I love weaving words, and I know them to be immensely powerful things.
Especially when woven into music.
I believe, as you most likely saw in my intro video, that music is one of the most potent and effective and truly rad things we humans have ever had the sheer audacity and genius to develop. When you add in well-woven, meaningful words, you are creating a vehicle for so many things: emotions, experiences, truth, hope, love.
I believe that the things one can weave into a good song are invaluable not only to the creators of the music, but those who receive it. Music is a way for us to relate as human beings, on a level that can only be described (in my eyes) as spiritual.
I believe music is a way to bring people together and share who we are.
THAT
is why
I love making music.
About My Sound:
---
My sound leans heavily towards acoustic pop with a huge amount of folk influences, but my roots splay insanely wide, taking sustenance from an eclectic mix of artists, including (but not limited to): Iron and Wine, Jason Mraz, Modest Mouse, Anberlin, Bastille, and Ed Sheeran. My lyrics tend to be highly metaphor-driven, and my songs run the gamut from emotive to socially conscious. Side note: my live sound has recently been enhanced by a loop pedal, so chances are you'll hear that incorporated in my music as well!
About Your Support:
---
I figure, if you're going to support me, you may as well know that your money is going to good use.
So, here's how I use your wonderful support:
1) I use it to make music.
2) I use it to feed my family.
...
That's it. Seriously.
Whether it entails purchasing new equipment as needed, paying for some pro help with recording, or being able to afford a few extra hours off of work so I can practice and record and still pay my bills, those two items are what it all boils down to.
...
I also want to emphasize:
If you have pledged your support to me and you hit a tight spot monetarily...
That is abso-freaking-lutely fine!
...
Heaven knows I have been there. Just let me know, and I will rest easy in the knowledge that you didn't withdraw your support because I offended you or you decided my face was just too annoying to stand looking at any more. If you get the cash flowing again, just sign right back up! It's that easy! If life keeps you down, no worries there either. You have my deepest gratitude, even if you only supported me for one song.
You are a wonderful human being.
Never, ever forget that.
Love and thanks,
Dustin
