About Dave Warnock "Dying Out Loud"

Bio

The "Dying Out Loud" (DOL) platform began after Dave Warnock, a former evangelical pastor and church leader for 37 years, and who now considers himself an atheist, was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) in 2019. Now facing a terminal diagnosis, Dave earnestly speaks out about the inherent danger, lasting trauma, and societal harm caused by Christian evangelicalism in today's society. Dave's message is that while life is truly random and chaotic with no guarantees, we should not live in fear with our focus on what lies beyond death, but instead to be aware and to appreciate the joyous "moments" we are given in this one precious life we do have.

You can connect with Dave at daveoutloud.com or on Facebook at fb.me/davewarnock.dyingoutloud.

Be sure to SUBSCRIBE to The Dying Out Loud You Tube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/DaveWarnockDyingOutLoud to watch the weekly "That GD Show" and to receive updates on all of Dave's speaking engagements.

Thank you for your support of Dave's outreach and the production of "That GD Show" by becoming a DOL Patreon supporter. As a bonus, Dave, and his partner Bevin, will be posting "Behind the Scenes" short videos exclusive to Patreon members only. We are looking at adding additional benefits in the future for our Patreon members and are interested in what our supporters would like to have from us! Message us! :)

A Personal Message from Dave...

When I was first diagnosed in Feb 2019 I was given 2-4 years left to live, with those last couple of years not very desirable in terms of physical functionality, so I began traveling as much as possible to speak with as many communities as possible while I still could. This Patreon account was set up at the end of 2019 when I realized I might be able to travel for longer than a year, but I had run out of personal funds to cover the travel costs to meet with communities that did not have the resources to cover my travel expenses.  Then COVID-19 hit.

What an excruciatingly long year. A year I did not have to lose.

Now it's 2021 and fortunately to date the majority of my symptoms have remained confined in my hands, arms, and upper torso, which allows me to still walk and talk pretty well, except my voice and my body now tire overall more easily. I require physical assistance to travel now, as well as for more assistance at home with everyday tasks, such as dressing and eating. My partner/caregiver has had to significantly cut back on her working hours to accommodate me, which has impacted our income significantly.

Your support on Patreon helps with these costs plus with the production expenses for "That GD Show."   If you'd prefer to make a one-time donation instead of becoming a DOL Patreon member, you can also donate via Paypal at this link.

My dream is that financial obstacles won't prevent me from sharing the "Dying Out Loud" message to as many people as possible in the short amount of time that I have left and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support.
