Educate, Encourage, and Inspire other enthusiasts in the overland adventure community.
The cornerstone of ECOA is built on education. Whether attending major events like Overland Expo or smaller regional rallies, ECOA's purpose in attending is to facilitate hands-on workshops. ECOA also hosts our own training series called Overland Skills Weekends which are topically focused and experientially driven.
In addition to ECOA's physical presence at events, there are four main publications we create. First is the East Coast Overland Adventures Blog which has been running strong since 2015. With over 130 articles it has become one of the go-to resources on overland travel. Second, is the No Highways Tour Book Series. This is an annually published book series featuring photos and stories from month long overland adventure trips across the US. Third, and new for 2019, is the Echoes of Adventure Podcast. This podcast features a look back at past adventures and how the memories and lessons from those trips have influenced the people we are today. Lastly, and new for 2019, is the ECOA Video Series. These videos are educationally focused covering a range of topics that parallel content on the blog that fit with a dynamic media.
Through support generated via Patreon, ECOA hopes to grow and develop its offerings to its fans by helping maintain the frequency of blog posts, trip write-ups, "One Lap" style articles, the NHT books, and presenting workshops. Your support is also a way to pay it forward if you've attended one of our free workshops at an event and what to help ensure such workshops continue to happen.
Most importantly becoming a Patron is the best way to stay in touch with the ECOA team and not miss out on any of our publications. As social media continues to become more manipulated and unreliable the monthly newsletter sent to all ECOA Patrons will make sure you don't miss a thing.
Goals
Every little bit counts. Even $1 a month can go a long way to keeping the lights on at ECOA. This modest goal ensures the blog will continue for the next few months and prime the pump for some of the bigger projects in the works like podcast and video series.
