Who Are We?

Edgy Brothers is Chris Edgerly (me) and David Edgerly, two brothers who have spent their lives creating things based on silly ideas while avoiding real jobs as much as possible. I'm a former touring standup comic who’s been a voice actor for over twenty years - you’ve likely heard my voice at some point in one of these shows/movies:

The Simpsons                           Clarence
Naruto
Family Guy
Passengers
                                 Happy Feet
Dragons: Riders of Berk         Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law
The Clone Wars
      Celebrity Deathmatch
Chappaquiddick
                       Disney's The Wild

Or in one of about a hundred video games, including these:

Halo 1,2,3                                              Disney Infinity 3.0
Avatar
Assassin's Creed
Mass Effect 1,2                                    Diablo III
Amazing Spiderman 2
                       Kinect Star Wars
The Godfather II                                  Hitman: Absolution
Lord of the Rings                                 Skylanders

Dave is a graphic designer and animator who’s worked freelance for twenty years. Some of his animation work includes:

Eight Crazy Nights
The Fatboy Chronicles
Chug with Zane Lamprey

As kids we were always creating, dreaming of one day making something like the countless animated classics that inspired us. And even though Dave ended up in Austin and I moved to Los Angeles, we continued collaborating, using whatever online technology was available. And after running a few succesful Kickstarter campaigns designing playing cards, t-shirts, and other merchandise, we've zeroed in on our original passion: creating animated content.

What Do We Do?

Thus, we've created Edgy Brothers Presents - animated comedy with a little edge. Luckily, technology has caught up with our imaginations, and what Dave and I can achieve with sound recording and animation now is far beyond our early days. But it's still an exhaustive process and we need support to make our ideas happen.

While Creators have launched digital content on sites like Indiegogo and Kickstarter, they mainly focus on pilots or series of episodes. We, on the other hand, make snackable content: short clips of one to two minutes that you can share with friends. And though Youtube is great for building an audience and monetizing, their content standards and ad rates limit what we can do.

But where there's a will - and good wifi reception - there's a way! With your simple donation you can help us produce our ideas without worrying about restrictions. And the more you donate, the more we can share with you in the form of extras like pdf's of scripts, rough footage of the production process, and more. And if all you can spare is a meager $1 (a downpayment on a latte) it's still an enormous help in sending what's in our addled brains out into the ether.

With enough support, we hope to produce two brand new episodes each month in addition to the bonus content. We also want to produce animation and voice acting tutorials to share what we've learned in our collective forty-plus years of industry experience. If whatever we can pass along helps other Creators just starting out, we'll be happy.

In short, we want Edgy Brothers Presents to be a repository for entertaining, animated content. Or at least something that distracts you from doing real work.

Awesome! We can produce two animated episodes per month without needing outside revenue.
