Hello, I'm Eilidh and I'm a traditional fiddle player, composer and tutor from the West coast of Scotland. From February 2019 I'm launching 'Tune Tuesday with Eilidh Steel'

This course would suit fiddlers who are able to play some tunes and feel open to learning by ear.
My aim is to help you build your repertoire of Scottish music and to gain confidence in learning by ear. You can stop the videos at any point and go over any parts again while learning the tunes if you feel you need more time on a particular part of the tune.

Although this course is aimed at fiddlers it would also suit mandolin players, and other tune players are welcome to join but you'd just need to ignore the fingerings I mention every so often during the videos as these may not be applicable to your instrument.

I hope these videos will give you inspiration, motivation and enjoyment of playing Scottish music.

Tune Tuesday with Eilidh Steel:
♪ Learn new tunes online by ear, phrase by phrase. The camera
focuses on Eilidh's left hand for the whole lesson so you can use
her fingers as a guide

♪ This can work alongside learning at a class / lesson or give
motivation if you are learning by yourself.
♪ A video will be posted each Tuesday of a new tune to learn.
These can be watched at any time of day, in any time zone for
the month

♪ Download the sheet music to all the tunes

♪ Invitation to a private online group, a community just for
