Hello all you Glorious Alfred Fans, it is I once again, Emily Youcis. I'm going to tell you how much animation means to me in my life and why your support would help all my dreams come true and all that cheezy shit.

Backstory: I first attempted animation when I was 5 years old, when I cut out tiny squares of paper and animated a whale going up a hill with crayons. Throughout my childhood I would throw tantrums because of my burning desire to animate and the fact that independent technology was limited. At age 11, I got a camera that would allow me to photograph paper frames in succession. I painstakingly taped thousands of frames onto shoe boxes and made many short films; unfortunately they were deleted by my brother in a fit of rage. Finally, when I was 14 I received a computer and a copy of Macromedia Flash, and armed only with a ball mouse, it was from there that my animation career really began. Just 2.5 years later I put out what I would later find to become cult classics, The Rise of Alfred and the trilogy Alfred's Playhouse (I'm sure many of you would say that I've never topped these). It was after I finished Alfred's Playhouse in 2007 that I began writing the feature length film (Official Trailer Here) that I am creating currently and is the main reason for this Patreon. I wrote it for 6 years before beginning official production in 2013. The Alfred Alfer Movie is being animated, directed, written, and produced entirely by myself up until this point.

The Breakdown: The Alfred Alfer movie is going to be roughly 60-90 minutes in length, approximate to a full feature film. However to keep everyone interested and your suspense tingling, I will be releasing the movie in segments as they are completed (usually 4-10 minutes in length). It takes around 2 to 5 months for each segment to be released, so your wallets will remain untouched for the majority of the year. When a new segment does come out, however, you will be guaranteed the utmost time and care will be put into them, and your dollar will get its maximum usage. No bullshit teasers or fluff, just meaty, sumptuous, prime cuts of Cartoon.

When I first started writing this movie as a teenager, I knew one day I would become an adult and have to survive in this economic world while making it. Well, those days have come, and between paying the bills and supporting myself entirely, it has become much more difficult to produce the movie at the ideal pace and quality. Hell, most independent chicks my age have trouble finding time to watch their favorite Netflix shows all the way through, let alone creating one from scratch. As a full time beer vendor at sporting events (for most a second job), the commission-based amount I earn is dependent on the success of the team I'm vending for. Since the Phillies Phucking Suck now, I've been growing doubtful that I will be able to sustain myself in the next couple years. With less and less people showing up at the stadium each game, I fear I may have to get a second job, which will not only damper my spirit, but put my movie on the back burner. My movie needs to be on the front burner, raging like a damn hot coal, igniting and fueling my creative passion. When you are in a constant state of panic over whether you can feed yourself or pay the electric bill, it's like an energy-draining extinguisher on the whole stove.

Where YOU come in: The good news for you guys (and me!) is that now with Patreon you all can directly contribute to the rapidly improving production of this movie. Having additional income from Patreon will keep my mind focused on the film and not bills, so I can have complete undivided dedication to the most important thing in my life. Because remember, kids, if I'm not animating, my evil mind will divert to other horrible things and I will most certainly go insane!

It was hard to face it at first, but Cash Rules Everything Around Me. And now I have to go get the money. And the more time I put into going and getting it, the less time I have to put into making the movie how I always imagined it to be.

As Emily Youcis, I live and breath Alfred Alfer, and I know a lot of you do too. So any dollar you give to me will go directly to making that Sexy Necro Mutt come to life so he can dance and prance and fuck around the screen and you can continue to get Awesomeness Boners from him. And then when you rub that boner you can smile to yourself and say, 'I'm responsible for this.'
