Time spent on emuloader is time spent not doing something else, and the last few months I've spend brainstorming and building emuloader have been super exciting and rewarding, but it's not something I can keep going solely out of pocket. Donating even a little would help immensely to keeping the project alive.
I don't want to split the userbase up or not give features to those who may not be able to donate so everyone will get the same emuloader, patrons or not, atleast at this stage. At this point patrons will be supporting me in development for everyone, no exclusive features withheld.
