I want to send you the Engineering Awkward newsletter on a quarterly basis.

The winter issue, Issue #1: Our Biology Moves, investigates recent advances in biowear. And the motivations for making prosthetic devices. We reveal an archived interviews conducted a decade previously--in 2015--for the first time.

Issue #1: Our Biology Moves
Table of Contents
Biomones Emerging
In which biologists engineer a nostril-worn device that replaces Tinder.

“The Pointer-Outer”
The impetus for making making false teeth is discussed with one B. Trusewicz.

Marketing Me Pink
The Not-So-Biological reasons why women own pastel razors. An office-side chat with Soojung Ham.

About Me
I make non-commercial, satirical design projects. Some might call this "art." For example, I've made a tiny pink hammer, a miniature ergonomic hand saw, a cat hair-based job interview prop, chocolate pills, and a prototype for a crying sympathy machine. I make these things because I think they might help us on the internet talk about topics like privilege, periods, sex robots, crying in the bathroom, engineers in the office, awkward feminism, and more.

Making these strange ideas into real objects and sharing them with you in a Newsletter format requires specialty equipment and materials, and creative passion. As a Ppatron, you can help me focus more on making quality work for you, and focus less on finding funding for my work.

About Patreon
What is Patreon? Patreon invites followers of my work, called Patrons, to pledge a small amount per month. In exchange for $1 or $3, Patrons will get a quarterly newsletter. It’s like a subscription to a metafictional universe.

With your support on Patreon, I'll have more to give to my work and to you. My project yields interesting tidbits—short essays, how-tos, interviews with fellow students about their experiences addressing gender or stereotype, behind-the-scenes photos, and illustrations. I think you'll like it :)

Thanks again for your support!

The more popular the metafictional newsletter becomes, the more that companies from a parallel universe will want to place thought-provoking advertisements. Expect at least three fictional advertisements per publication.
