About Eva

I am a designer doing original research into the topic of technology-facilitated domestic violence. Along with this research, I'm creating practical methods for technologists to build their products against domestic violence. I'm spreading this information by speaking at conferences, guest lecturing at universities, authoring a chapter on the topic for a textbook about technology-facilitated violence and abuse, and creating curriculum for code/design bootcamps and universities. I call all of this "The Inclusive Safety Project." It's about preventing domestic violence, but it's also about making sure that no one's safety gets forgotten when we're designing digital products.

All of this work takes a lot of time. I work full-time at a software consultancy, meaning that the vast majority of my work around inclusive safety is done on my own time. In the past, I've always worked a side job, such as teaching UX or doing a freelance project. By supporting me as a Patron, you're helping me say "no" to these side hustles that take me away from my inclusive safety work, and allowing me focus more of my free time on this important work.

You can learn more about me, and see upcoming places I'm doing my Designing Against Domestic Violence talks, at my website: evapenzeymoog.com.
