It's been a week since I've released my EP and I'm so happy about the response on the project so far. When you have been working on something for the last 2 years you get nervous about what people might think and you start to put lies in your head like "is this really worth the wait?" Well I'm glad it was worth the wait and this is only the beginning. Now that the new music is out, I'm looking forward to the new videos that will come along with it and performing them live. First up to bat is my song 'C'est La Vie', which will be out in a week or so, and then Street Light and I have plans to shoot a video for 'Worldwide Mosh Pit' at the end of October when I get off tour. Keep your eyes pealed for those!
Speaking of tour, we are almost 2 weeks in and it has been an amazing experience so far. To clear up questions, I'm not performing my own set, but I am doing a few songs with T. Ward during his set. Tyler talked to me about possibly helping him on tour and I saw this as a great opportunity to 1.) learn a few things and get prepared for my own solo tour one day and 2.) refocus myself and open myself up to new experiences God has waiting for me on this trip.
One thing that has been sticking with me on this trip is a sentence I read in this new book I'm reading called, Holy Fire. It said, "God is everywhere; there is no place He is not present. Always be looking for His manifest presence." These drives from show to show can be long and will wear you down after awhile and I want to be sure I stay inspired and keep that fire burning even when I'm feeling exhausted. Just looking out the window and seeing a bird fly by or looking at the mountains puts me in a better mood knowing that God created all of this. I want to immerse myself in every possible situation on this tour and know that His hand is in all of it. From having conversations with someone or just walking around an unfamiliar town and city, I know that He is all around me and it doesn't get any better than that. I always love going on tour because I'm forced to step out of my comfort zone and put all my trust in Him. Not only that, but I'm always learning new things and growing closer with my friends and the people around me.
