About

The original version of ExtraGalactica was an indie retro style bullet hell shoot’m up developed for a custom arcade cabinet designed by Matt Lewis. The cabinet was built by Matt Lewis, Nathan Lewis, and Andrew Williamson through a successful GoFundMe campaign in early 2016. Currently, the cabinet resides in an Auto Body in North Carolina.

Dying on a hard drive, we decided to revamp and release the full title on Steam, mobile, and (possibly) Nintendo Switch in 2019.

The redesign of the project has involved completely rebuilding it which is being head up by Matt Lewis and Dante Campana.

Nintendo Switch Dev Kit - A big part of getting ExtraGalactica out on as many platforms as possible would be dev kits and licenses. Our other platforms such as PC, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android are already covered from this aspect. However, we will be unable to release on Nintendo Switch without acquiring this kit. The Nintendo Switch Dev Kit is definitely one of the most affordable Dev Kits from Nintendo to date at roughly 1/10 of the cost of developing for the WiiU.
