I run a one-person prop making business with a specific focus of 3D printed replicas based on firearms from video games. I've done 3D printing for a few years and I've had a strong interest in bringing objects from video games into the real world. I chose firearms because of their strong mechanical nature which lends well to 3D printing and because they are often easily recognizable along with being very tactile objects. I chose to embrace a specific niche so I could perfect my craft and not spread myself too thin with too many types of props.
So far my portfolio is lacking and I need your help. Creating very high detail prop replicas is time consuming and material intensive. I currently have one high-detail printer (a Formlabs Form1+) but resin prices hinder me from being able to constantly print new props to include in my portfolio. Also, the number of hours a single prop can require in print time makes having only one printer a serious factor which slows production.
With your support I can produce more props for my portfolio, expand my workshop, and also move toward my ultimate goal of becoming a full-time prop artist.
