Hi there,
I'm a graphic designer from Poland, currently working as a freelancer. But my bigesst passion since I was a kid, were fantasy games. I mean traditional paper games, where You need to roll a dice to test youre stats, check the charts and all this stuff. But the most important thing was to gather with friends and play for hours and hours. Back then in the '90, game market in Poland didn't care much about fantasy fans, so really cool stuff like Advanced: Dungeons and Dragons, Warhammer, Magic: The Gathering was extreamlly hard to get, and allso extreamly expensive to buy, for a little boy like me. So all I could do, back then was, to look at the colorfull comercials in the computer or fantasy magazines... or create my own game:]
And so I did. It wasn't the best game ever, but hey, I was like 13 yeares old ;) And it was so fun to play. I disovered, I really enjoy to make stuff like that. At first I was redrawing characters, maps, items from other games or fantasy arts. But after i got a little expirianced, I started to do my own drawings, concepts and some more games:) Ideas just came to me like crazy. We played those games with my brother and friends for many, many weekends.
When i finished primary school, there was no time for making games any more, so I had to put all the stuff in the box and forgot about it...
But after more than 20 years, I found this box :D
Most of the stuff is destroyed (mices made a nest in there:/) but i started to smile seing those pictures, texts, cards. And then I thougt, that was my childhood dreams, why not acomplish it now, when I got the skills I need. I could give it a try:) So I started to do it in my free time. At first I wanted to recreate one of the games I made before. But when I got deeper in the rules and the world i created i found it not clear enough, an a little naive. Other words, You could tell some child made this. So i decided to make a new one. And when i started to think about it, ideas just pop in to my head like back then, when i was a kid, but this time, those ideas are really enchanted:]
The main concept is to make a pc fantasy - tactics game for 1-4 players. Characters and enemys will be presented as 3D figure on a stand. I'm sculpting figures, items, and environment models in Blender, then retopology, textures and simple rig to make a pose if it's a character.
It's important every figure was unique. Warhammer fans know this the best;) Ofcourse stand/support will have a small round terrain "cut off" on the top (You can't see it on the screen because I didn't made it yet :P).
There will be 3 game modes
All the game modes exept for "battle" will be played on the world map, and if the battle event appears, game will put the characters on the combat map (similar to "Heroes of Might & Magic" or "Final Fantasy").
Game modes:
adventure - (1-4 players) You explor the map with youre friends, playing one of the characters from the party, or all the party if You want to play alone.
battle - (1-2 players) every player lead a bigger group of soldiers. Soldiers count and power will be described by the scenario (You may play as an ally against the cpu opponent, or against each other). In battle mode there will be no world map, but one big combat map.
dungeon ride - (2-4 players) where players are starting in different spots in the dungeon and the goal is to survive, get the precious artefact, or/and eliminate other players.
I feel i need to write something about game politics, cause You may be thinking ok, thats all nice but what is gonna be the thing that kills the game after a little while... For example "pay to play", "pay to win" or pay to get some annoying and "destroying game climate items", like party hats or pets with giant heads, etc... Well, there won't be stuff like that in this game. Pure, oldschool fantasy game:] And don't get me wrong, I'm not saying anime or pets are bad ;) But not everything fits everywhere, in my opinion;)
The game will be 100% free to play. No matter if I manage collect the founds or not. The thing is, Im doing it in my free time so it's basicly weekends (need to do some freelancing for living during the week). But portals like Patreon can help to solve the problem. More fund I can get - more time I can spend to make this game. And also buing a beter software (like substance painter/designer) or hire other freelancers for some small jobs like retopology would speed up the work a lot. I think amount of 2000$ monthly would be good enough for me to suspend my freelance activity an focus on the thing i really love for 24/7 ;)
Every week i will try to put some update to show You what I'we done so far. Here are some of the screen shots of an ogr soldier i made + some items.

And here is a concept picture to give You an idea what's it's all about. Keep in mind It's just a concept graphic so its very rough, all figures have the same pose, no textures etc. So at this point You need to use a lot of imagination to see it like I do :)
If You like the idea, You can help me to make it real :)

This amount will let me to spend some more time working on the game (at least one update a week on patreon) and get a Substance Painter / Designer. This will definitely speed up the drawing and quality of the textures :)
