Fatima Measham is creating words in a certain order

patrons

Hey, you found me. High-five! No really, I could use $5.

My work has appeared in Eureka StreetMeanjinThe GuardianRight Now and elsewhere. I am looking to hustle (hassle) editors in other pages.

But here's the thing: hustling is another job in itself and time is finite. I would rather write. And I don't want to just write. I want to get better at it and be read. This is where you come in.

Every cent that comes my way means more time for to me to get the right words in the right order. Anyone who has seen my columns and essays would know that I take that time: to take in, reflect and interpret. It's my own little counterculture. Being a patron means believing not only in what I can do but in the kinds of spaces that writers and artists create.

As patron you will get access to exclusive content on topics not covered elsewhere. Because who wants to read the 90th take about the latest meme.

Tiers
All or nothing
$5 or more per month

That's right. There is only this one tier because patrons will be loved equally here:

* A Twitter shout-out when you become patron. And gratitude that runs and lasts longer than 280 characters.

* Patron-only news about what I'm working on and what's ahead, potentially including behind-the-scenes fails and non-writing stuff.

* Exclusive posts about things I love in pop culture, literature, history and science (which depart from my usual fare elsewhere).

Goals
11 of 100 patrons
It's a nice round number to keep nudging me on track. In practical terms it takes this many patrons to save me 8-10 weeks of work on a single essay (not counting the hustling to find a publisher and other writing to supplement income).
