My name is Amandine, and I'm a handweaver based in Stockholm, making textiles out of natural materials in bright colors. The resulting fluffy goods are sold under the name Fibraquarelle.
Besides the difficulties of selling handwoven objects due to their high price tags, I also want to spend time documenting what I make, and sharing this knowledge openly. It's something I carry over from my primary trade as a programmer: I was able to learn a lot thanks to free tutorials, free videos, free articles. I want to do the same with my crafts knowledge.
The more I earn on here, the more I can justify spending time writing about what I made, how I made it, putting together complicated schematics of interlocking strings and trying not to get tangled in my explanations. I may even be able to spend time researching more advanced topics and writing about that. None of it will be paywalled, but I may look into things like topic prioritization, article requests or early access.
This page is very much a work in progress: expect changes as I figure out how to go about this.

Thank you!

My heartfelt thanks! You're helping me research, create, and share  knowledge without having to charge for it. DOWN WITH CAPITALISM.

Behind the scenes
$5 or more per month

My goal is to document the craft process. But documenting is itself a process, with research, photo-taking, drafting, cursing, revising, and so on.
This tier will give you access to posts about that. What does the process look like, what was my thought process, what tools do I use and how, how does this fit into a supposedly responsible adult life? Basically the answer to "Why are they complaining about <software> on Twitter this time".

Woven samples
$20 or more per month only 5 left

Do you want to get your hands on physical examples of the weaving techniques I'm writing about? This is your chance!
You'll get small bits of my sample weaves regularly. While I'll aim for 10x10cm bits and monthly dispatches, that might vary depending on what's on the loom and how shipping prices work out.
All samples will come tagged with enough technical information for a handweaver to work from. Some of them will get more extensive write-ups on the blog.
You also get access to the behind-the-scenes posts.

Goals
$5 of $100 per month
Three digits, woo! This would be a completely arbitrary milestone, but it would mean a lot.
