Get access to the #exclusive Discord channel for patrons, where we'll tease and talk about what we're working on.
Get your name listed in our full video credits as a Supporter.
Can also contribute to post-release Q&A videos, and can occasionally take part in feedback polls.
Also get access to a subscriber-exclusive "Film Critters Throws It Back" episode every month; these episodes are going to be "Processes" style, but focused more on television shows and older films, and will be voted on by our Patrons.
But also, we will read your name (or username) out at the end of full Film Critters videos, giving you free dopamine.
You'll also be consulted on the content for our next videos, via being polled (with open suggestions as well).
[Keep your eyes peeled for this tier to grow with time]
About Film Critters
We are Jae Bearhat & Barroo, a Pacific Northwest based creative duo and this is our video essay series on movies, films, cinemas, and moving pictures, Film Critters. Our approach to critique is focused on underexamined subtext most commonly in 7/10, mediocre, forgotten, or just schlock movies. They're fun, funny, and fundamentally distinct ways of approaching the discount DVD bin at your big box mart of choice.
Currently, our two types of videos are our main film essays, and then more podcast-style "Processes" where we discuss recent releases that we've seen in theaters.

What's the money for?
While we plan to continue Film Critters either way, supporting us on Patreon allows us to dedicate more time away from our day jobs and other financial restraints to produce new videos. Your patronage helps offset the time, resources, and spirit energy that go into making them! This can also help us increase production value, do more goofy shit, and generally (checks marketing notes) grow our content base.
What're some bennies for patronizing this fine 'Tube site?
All patrons will get to see our videos three days early, as well as help give feedback and occasional say in what we cover. We've also got several perks over on the side, and as our audience grows, we plan to start including more ways for the audience to get involved-- movie stream nights, Q&As, subscriber exclusive content are all currently on the table (check out our stretch goals). Also, all contributors get their names displayed at the end of every video. Plus, you get to know you're helping us make things to entertain you! It's free will, use it.
Patrons will also get access to the Patreon-exclusive "Film Critters Throws It Back", podcast-style short videos, similar to our Processes videos, about older titles that aren't current / recent theatrical runs. This is also one of the subjects you get to vote on, with us running a monthly poll deciding what title(s) we're going to be talking about! Just a fun little thank you video for supporting us.
How often can we expect "content"?
At our current production speed/limits, full episodes will probably be roughly once every 3-5 months, and as we continue to grow that'll ideally shrink down to about once every 1-2 months. However, we will be producing at least one monthly Film Critters Throws It Back exclusively for patrons, as well as one Film Critters Processes about recent releases (generally theatrical, maybe occasionally Netflix stuff). As we continue to expand Film Critters, both in time, resources, and raw skills, we'll also likely be adding more content, more kinds of videos, all more often!
