Quality analysis projects (video documentaries) can be in short supply in the void of YouTube content. It exists out there, thanks to the folks like noclip documentaries, GoodBadFlicks, and other talented creators, but I want to throw my content in the ring.

I enjoy creating videos that deconstruct a topic I think deserves attention. All too often, creators go for the easy money or topics guaranteed to hit algorithm clicks. As a result, some films or issues that actually deserve a look or defense go without that recognition. I want to tackle topics not done to an extent before, and give them a spin not seen yet. A list of topics I already have planned out is included in the first community post.

I will also post podcast audio, commentaries (movies and what else), interviews, music videos, and other random funny content I like to make, none of which has a schedule, just when I finish them.

You will only be charged for every analysis project (20 min+ videos), not small stuff.

I'm usually critical of people who spam their sponsorships, and/or Patreon page in their video, but now I'm making one. What gives? I'm very supportive of patrons and think it's a great way to gain support from a niche audience. So, why do I need one?
  • Demonetized - Unfortunately, my current YouTube channel has been removed of monetization services for good due to copyright. So any videos I post will not make any money. This is disappointing and takes away a lot of motivation to keep going. I've never done YouTube strictly for profit, but to work hard on a long video without much compensation sucks.
  • More freedom - I've tried to work with YouTube's algorithm (and succeeded multiple times) in the past by staying in their box of rules and advertiser friendly guidelines. However, with support from this outside source instead of Google, my videos can be free from the restraint of copyright and content guidelines. Longer segments, compilations, longer movie clips in the video, anything I couldn't do before.
With more freedom here, I can also post other silly content here, podcasts or other random videos I wouldn't post to my YouTube channel. Having this platform can allow me to get even more content out faster.

Since YouTube is still not my full time job, and still don't plan to make it that way, where does the money go? I don't make that much income, as a graduating college student, so the money mostly goes to living expenses. Anything I receive from you will help me pay for bills, my car, the usual reasons support is needed. I have loans and tax payments to pay off, so any extra support at all, even if I end up with just $10 a month, is great.

I'm filmtoaster. I've been on the internet since 2002 and have been producing video content on YouTube and other such sites since 2009. YouTube has gone through many trends and I've been through all of them. I miss the value many creators used to put into their content and I want to stick by the philosophy of making great content. If my work doesn't satisfy you, please let me know directly and right away. I love to improve my content and I believe criticism is very important for evolving. I've been a part of many fandoms and subcultures; 2017 and early 2018 was the year of Godzilla content. I'm a fan of video games, old films, some new, and internet content (going back to Newgrounds and StickDeath). If you would like to connect with me or do a podcast, comment at me or find me on Discord. I'm usually floating around there.

*Recommend a video to make. Once every other month, I will make a video with a movie topic of your choosing. It has to be age appropriate and all that. If this tier maxes out, I may combine topics into one video. Scheduling will be determined around my normal content.

A delicious sandwich with cheese, chicken, and the works.

Goals
$1 of $50 per analysis project
Good enough. This can help pay off one of my bills, which will take some stress off my back. Just seeing this much being donated to me is amazing. I would be happy with this much.
