Welcome to my Patreon page!

If this is your first time here, allow me to introduce myself. I am Florence: a French-born wife, mother, grandmother, writer—and a bit of a jack of all trades—who likes to write and create revolutions...or maybe simply rebels.

Sounds radical, I know.

It isn't really.

By rebels, I mean individuals—especially women—who decide to fall in love with their most authentic self in the face of a culture which keeps telling them they are not enough.

The bravest thing anyone of us can do is to boldly and wholly be ourselves in a world which wants to decide for us and which asks us to become actors rather than participants into our own lives.

Acting does not serve us well for we are not human do-ings.

And by the way, let me be clear, the desire to better ourselves is not the same as being told we must be other than who we are to belong. Wanting to become an improved version of ourselves is admirable, commendable, and probably a wise choice. Why remain stagnant?

The underlying message most of us hear—and sadly, march to—is always the same: you are not acceptable "as is." You are not enough.

I want to create a revolution of women—and men—who embrace their true selves, including their shortcomings and their vulnerability, and who own it.

I am not "there" yet, but every day, I am closer. I think life is a journey, not a destination. Growing into wholeheartedness is a process.

Allow me to share two of my favorite quotes (you'll soon discover, I am a bit of a quote geek):

"In a society that profits from your self-doubt, liking yourself is a rebellious act."
—Caroline Caldwell
and
"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment."
—Ralph Waldo Emerson

Why Am I Asking for Your Support?

I could do what many individuals in the blogging industry already do and place a gazillion adds within my posts. The only problem with this option is that I—personally—hate this practice. When I read an article peppered with advertisements, it annoys me. I am not faulty those who do it. I get it. Nevertheless, it is not my thing.

Therefore, in order to stand in my integrity and "be Florence", I can't bring myself to do something I loathe.

If you like my work and feel the desire to help me by supporting my mission and my love of writing, I would be very grateful. Any amount will enable me to continue to help others in any way I am able.

I am also in the process of writing a book—non-fiction. A tall order for sure.

Any assistance—no matter how small it may seem to you—makes a substantial difference to me and I am eternally thankful. Doing what I love is a great blessing.

"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself."
—Friedrich Nietzsche

Love and blessings,

Florence
