Forager. Wild food pioneers. Assemblage of foragers. Seekers of knowledge.

We gather wild ingredients from land and sea and have been supplying the best edible wild foods to restaurants since 2003. From small beginnings, when a chance conversation with a waiter led to our first sale of a few handfuls of wild garlic leaf to The Goods Shed in Canterbury, we now handle over five-hundred ingredients.

Over the years we have developed a deep understanding of these plants and their uses through our collaboration with chefs and other foragers; all the while making sustainable harvesting practices a key focus.

Within the greater context of a wild food renaissance around the world and a greater respect for indigenous knowledge, we celebrate new yet ancient flavours, rediscovering nutritional properties of wild plants and reconnecting with the land. This vital link means we thrive; eating well and working with the wild ecology of places.

Our Patreon recipe and plant videos are designed to further deepen people's understanding and appreciation for edible plants, fungi and seaweeds.
They stand alone as educational and inspirational tools but also supplement infomration sent out with our recently launched  Wild Box, curated by Miles Irving, author of The Forager Handbook and founder of Forager. Each Wild Box contains 7 wild ingredients, general guidance on how to use them and recipes designed to use up the entire contents of the box. In the first 30 weeks, we covered 76 wild food species, including plants, mushrooms and seaweeds! We deliver all over the country to chefs and private households.

We continue to provide free content to spread wild food knowledge but we have now decided to offer a premium level of material as well which is aimed at people who really want to delve into the finer points of cooking with wild food and what it means for us as a species. By contributing you are in turn supporting our work and benefiting from it. We will be free to pursue topics in finer detail here at Forager HQ and report back to you with what we find.

With our years of experience in wild food and your help we can break new ground together and begin a new conversation.
