Hi, My name is Forrest, and I may be able to help.

You see, I've been a health coach and mindset pro for over 17 years. (...for my Vegan and Vegan Activism story, scroll to the bottom).

Although today I've helped thousands of people get on track to feeling healthy, happy, and balanced in their life, I wasn't born as a mindset or life coach...far from it.

In my late teens, I went down the wrong path and was using hard drugs, alcohol, became depressed, and was even homeless for a short time. I hit a rock-bottom in my life, and with nowhere to turn I just kept spiraling downward until I finally almost self-destructed.

Then, one drizzly evening I was shuffling through the streets and stopped. I realized I had nowhere to go, I felt unloved and unwanted, and I just became numb to the world. I zoned out under a yellow street lamp, staring into the dark sky and the glinting rain, and from the corner of my eye I saw my grandmother pull her burgundy car over to the curb and stop right in front of me.

She rolled her window half way down, peered over her Coke-bottle-thick glasses and said, "Forrest, take care of your body. If you take care of your body, your body will take care of your mind, and your mind will take care of your life."

...she didn't offer me a ride, or a place to sleep, but left me there to sit with that simple grandmother wisdom. Finally, I had a place to start and a blueprint for my life. Just take care of my body...I could do that! After all, nothing I was doing was working, so what did I have to lose?

I didn't change overnight, but I started a process - my journey.

I started to eat less junk food and started eating more fruits and vegetables and drinking more water.

I started lifting weights, reading self-development books, and writing down my goals.

I eventually found a martial arts master, and I trained in martial arts and meditation for over 10 years. It was the first time I committed fully to anything in my life, and it opened so many incredible doors for me.

I became a 2nd Degree Black Belt, a fitness entrepreneur with my own business, an international best-selling author, a public speaker, and eventually an advocate for homeless kids, and <g>an animal</g> rights and Vegan activist.

I'm in my 40's now, but I'm healthier and happier than I've ever been.

I have a wonderful marriage, 3 great kids, 2 beautiful dogs, and a beautiful home near the beach in North County San Diego. I'm surrounded by wonderful, supportive people, and I've worked through my inner demons of anger, loneliness, addiction, resentment, feelings of guilt from my many mistakes, and my negative self-image. Although I'm far from perfect, I always consider myself a "work in progress" and I truly couldn't be happier.

We all have problems, and when we can start to look at problems as puzzles, given to us as a lesson in life than everything changes. I know this could seem incredibly cold if your problem is dealing with sickness or death, or loss of any kind...but hear me out.

The Universe (you could use the word God, or not, it doesn't matter to me how you define this) could be teaching you any of a vast array of life lessons such as forgiveness, inner strength and resilience, empathy, how to "let go", non-attachment, the impermanence of life, that you can't make everyone happy (people pleasing much?), the fact that everything in life changes, perspective (how you look at life is your reality), the importance of attitude, that the world will change when YOU decide to change, the interdependence you have with all people, animals, and the planet, that the material items you own could end up owning you, that your impact is the force that drives your income, that much of your suffering comes from stories you play out in your own mind, that you can create value and be respected by yourself and others, that wealth is about more than just money (but can still include money), that kids spell the word love as T-I-M-E, and any other innumerable life lessons that are gifted to you for a reason.

This is for those who want to improve their health with a body and mind approach.

What results can I expect?

You'll have more energy, feel motivated to exercise, and be empowered to learn to make healthy choices.  Weight loss and body fat reduction will be a natural by-product of this training.
