For the Love of Climbing is the voice of the everyday outdoor climber. It started as a personal blog in 2014 and now it’s a podcast (for your ears!) With the launch of the first full-length episode on August 15th, we want to keep moving forward with relatable content for our listeners.

Because lots of things can happen in a lifetime, this podcast will dive deep into all of those ugly, awful things that we all have to go through. We tend to avoid the sad stuff, the awkward conversations, the uncomfortable topics—but what happens when we talk openly about pain and weave it into a story is really powerful.

My vision is to normalize vulnerability and create a collective storytelling platform that will somehow bleed into our daily interactions—and maybe the world will be a slightly better place for it.

So, here’s the skinny:

We need help AKA chedda, cold hard cash, we ain’t talking about no fifty dollars, bling, bens (and I promise not to spend it all on doughnuts and whiskey…but just to be honest, like $50 of this will definitely go towards whiskey.)

Expenditure is a pretty big word (AKA what I will buy with your cash other than the $50 for the whiskey as previously mentioned). This Patreon will help cover the cost of time, studio rentals, travel, equipment, editing, and writing. Your support allows me to continue making episodes full of relatable stories that go beyond the climbing realm to bring the focal point back to the heart of climbing—the love of it, the heartbreak, the failures, sends and everything in between.

(Also, just that stipend for the whiskey. I promise.)

THIS IS NOT A CLIMBING PODCAST. Well, sorta. This is a funny/sad/somewhat uncomfortable podcast about choosing vulnerability, talking about our pain, our most awkward moments, and how we are really just shining examples of this messy human existence. It’s not a climbing podcast. But it is. So millennial.
