About Fortner's Frontier Leather


My name is Joshua Fortner. I'm a U.S. Marine, a former Boy Scout and avid outdoorsman. I stumbled upon leatherwork in 2013, while trying to learn skills that I could use to make a living while living off-grid. I was inspired by the history and gear of the frontiersmen of America's past, and created Fortner's Frontier Leather to provide quality gear to others, who want to live a more self reliant and traditional lifestyle, as well.

Not only do I create leather products for outdoorsmen....I promote and teach the craft, as well as self reliance skills and concepts, that I hope will make our community stronger. I would love for you to be part of this community. 
We will talk about crafts, prepping, homesteading, tactics, philosophies, hunting, trapping, history, and anything related to advancing the cause of self reliance. 

Your patronage will help me to provide higher quality videos and content, teach you more of what I know, take you on field trips into the wild, and provide you all with more value.... With enough patrons, I will start doing this work for you on a full time basis!
