Illustration, natural history, Nintendo. Draws dinosaurs for a living. Kinda. Might spew out unsolicited dinosaur trivia in your general direction. You're not supposed to recycle your tinder bio for Patreon shhh it's okay nobody knows.

Dude you're bad at writing bios but oh hai.
Oh hai. I'm a big nerd who likes to draw things. Mostly living things. Except humans. Humans suck. Actually, no. It's me who suck at drawing humans.

If you know me, you've probably seen some of the abominations creations I've unleashed.

Fig 1. The creation of Squadam. I still keep getting reblog notes for this one and I don't know how to feel about it. Fun fact: they're not octopuses or cuttlefish. They're bobtail squid. Look 'em up and commence squee.

So what's the deal with the dinosaurs?
While professionally speaking I'm a commercial graphic designer and illustrator, on the internet I'm known for my illustration and writing for the natural history/paleontology site Earth Archives and its sister site, Studio 252MYA.

I kinda draw dinosaurs for a living. At least I used to until I pivoted hard to the squishier and more obscure creatures like squid. Basically, I illustrate things that photographs can't show: funny old dead things and things that are too obscure/hard to find to get good photos of.

Fig 2. I swear this is not a squid. It's a belemnite, a squid ancestor from the Jurassic period. Look at the two massive hooks. Nobody knows what they're for but some paleontologists suggest the males had them for sexy times.

What can I expect from Patreon? You dump basically everything on twitter anyway.
WELL yes and no. I don't like the idea of keeping some secret, hidden knowledge between paywall, because it will lead to the BURGEOISE™ hoarding all the smarts in the world. So I'll subject you, my glorious patrons, to the following benefits:
• Advanced preview of my finished artworks
• Access to my progress shots
• Which includes fails and yells that are too lame for my "clean and pretty" social feed
• The good feeling knowing I will use your money to support science people with my images ok wow this is starting to sound serious

What about the things in circles stuff.
Ah yes, it's The Circles of Life. And it moves us all. Through despair and ho– stop.

"We share this planet with millions of other species that are currently alive and traces of millions more that have been dead for a while. In this project, I’d like to tell their story through the perspectives of people. This is not just a story about plants and animals. It’s also a story of people who study, protect, and live for our non-human cohabitants." - definitely copied from the project's about page because I'm lazy like that.

I update that project every Wednesday. Here, you'll get a first-hand experience of my rambling when I nearly broke my wrist drawing this goth-looking beehive.

Fig 3. This thing wasn't published by the time I was writing this Patreon rambling so see I'm starting to give you benefits already.

Ok this is clearly getting too long thanks for reading this nonsense and I hope I did a good job convincing you to throw your money my way dank u <3
