Frogs Are Green's mission is to educate the public about why we must save frogs and amphibians.

"Rainforest Frogs" is an original, full color illustrated book profiling 10 frogs, some endangered, with frog Haiku poetry and frog facts about each of the frogs. It was published November 2016 and is now available!

Please donate to help us publish more books like this.

Frogs are threatened by habitat loss, climate change, pollution, and disease. Because they breathe and drink through their skin, they are extremely sensitive to an unhealthy environment. Chemicals, pesticides, ozone, and UV are dangerous, even deadly, to them.

Our New Jersey nonprofit organization is called FROGS ARE GREEN because we believe that healthy frogs mean a healthy planet. By saving the frogs, we will also save our planet—and ourselves.

Other ways we educate and engage children:
We engage children through our annual "kids art contest" which gives them the opportunity to learn about frogs and amphibians while they create artwork helping to express how they feel. We also engage adults with our annual photography contests. Once the judges have selected the winners, we feature them in various exhibitions as well as an online gallery.

Below you'll see samples of the frog art and tree art that were painted on storefront windows as part of the "City of Trees" initiative, this past May. Frogs Are Green partnered with the Jersey City Parks Coalition and close to 100 students painted their visions on Central Avenue in Jersey City Heights.

(The video shows how we have exhibitions around Jersey City. In this one we showcased the students in City Hall. Next Spring we already have a space booked for an Earth Day (Frog Art) exhibition. Thanks to JC1TV for helping us bring the awareness to our own area.)

Our organization brings education and awareness to the public so they understand why we must save the frogs.

Our latest effort is "Rainforest Frogs," an original fully illustrated book of endangered and gorgeous frogs with frog Haiku poetry. We have also included frog facts about each one.

We plan to publish this book in the Fall.

The Haiku is written by Caley Vickerman, illustrated by Mark Lerer, with a foreword by Franco Andreone and designed by Susan Newman.
