Hi there!

Growing up as a wee lad, I was shocked to find out that all my friends' most hated subject in school was history.  They hated it more than math.  They hated it more than chemistry.

I didn't get it.  My head was lost in amazing stories of our collective ancestors, while all my peers dreaded learning dates, kings and presidents.  All this while they ate up shows with awesome characters, heroes, antiheroes and all the intrigue that comes with existing in this world.

And then it dawned on me.  History was locked away in books, or even worse: primary sources.  Who has time to read journal articles and scrolls written in ancient Greek?  To compound the problem, the official history classes sanitized the narrative.  No mention of the powerless and their occasional triumphs over the powerful, no mention of the fun stuff like drug use and partying till the break of dawn, and definitely no mention of icky stuff like *gasp* sex or bodily functions.

And sadly, due to history being cleaned up to be rated PG, adults approached history like they approached taking their kids to a very long, very badly-made animated movie.

Here's where I come in.  I love diving deep into historical writings, and I'm here to kindle or rekindle an interest in the greatest stories of our past.  I'm here to tell you about the sexually transmitted diseases that shaped our ancestors' lives, about the all-out brawls that some of our most misunderstood historical figures participated in, about the barely-veiled risque poetry that young singers would use to seduce the wife of a very old lord while her husband was away.

And all this interesting stuff packaged into a very short time period, usually about 7 to 8 minutes.  You know, not too big but Fun Size.

I know you will love these stories because we are literally those exact same people, with the same desires, ambitions, jealousies, primal urges and intense emotions.  But for a different set of circumstances, we could be living those very lives and what's more relatable than that?

My goals:

Come join me on this journey, and help me with my mission.  The content of these stories is very engaging, but I have dreams of putting on a great show with good production value and maybe even animations and effects.

Unfortunately, everything is self-funded at the moment and this bootstrapping makes my videos a bit scrappy.  However, with a little of your investment, I can make this show the best it can be!  Become a member today :)
