Hi Everybody! I'm FzN! and I play... most of the time

I love games. I always have. I especially love retro games and I have no idea why that is the case. There's just something about old games that gets me all warm and fuzzy. I guess that is what you call nostalgia. That being said, I'm not a pure retro guy who deems everything post 1996 unworthy of existence. I enjoy new stuff too.

From this love results playing. A lot of it. Too much of it, to be honest. I'm nearing the magical age of 30 (from which onward you "officially" count as an adult human being). I should have better things to do, like settle down, build a house, have kids and contribute to the steady and vast increase of the GDP. And in some ways I do. I am currently working on my doctoral degree in English literature. But in the end I always come back to gaming. I fill most of my sparetime with it and I love to share my experiences, both the good and the bad. Especially the bad. Let's not lie about that. There's something blissfull to be found in righteous fury caused by truly abominable game design. That being said, I'm not the AVGN (you may have heard of him. If not, you're really missing out!). I do review good games as well. I don't have a general rule. I talk about games that I find remarkable for whatever reason.

Game reviews are my main thing. But I also do Let's Plays and I run a live stream on twitch. Every once in a while, I'll do a tutorial or a guide, usually also gaming related. Occasionally, I might also dabble with books or music, create top lists or just rant on about thing I find interesting, so be prepared for that!

Patreon? What is it good for?!

I love the idea of Patreon. People directly contributing to content they like is an amazing way of keeping diversity and creativity alive. No third parties, no middle-men, no publishers. Just You and Me. That means no deadlines, no interference with the content for whatever shady reasons and no limitations of creativity. And on top of that, it's really easy! Patrons decide whom they want to support and how much they want to invest. Just 1$ as a minimal tip and complete control over your monthly budget. It's as simple as that.

Why would I support that FzN!-person?

I love doing what I do. But I need to pay my bills. That means I have to somehow find time to work, work on my disseration (for which I do not get paid) and produce content. Unfortunately a day only has 24 hours and then there's this thing called "sleep", which, allegedly, is highly important. I just started out and plan on developing my itty bitty youtube channel into something more noteworthy. Your support gives me better opportunities to do what I do. I can reduce my weekly workload and invest more time in content creation. I can also buy new games to review, since I really don't believe in piracy. But most important of all, knowing that there are people out there who actually enjoy your work is really motivating. It is what keeps us going and passionate. In addition, patronage creates a new platform to exchange views and discuss my videos and feedback is greatly appreciated.

Of course, nobody has to invest money to watch my stuff. It will always be free. If you like what you see, and decide to become a backer, then that's wonderfull and it will earn you my eternal cratitude :)

I play games with you! We meet on the field of battle or conquer the hordes of evil together, depending on the game. And we'll stream it. Every week. Slots will most likely be limited so we have to employ a "first come - first served"-policy here.
Goals
$0 of $1,000 per month
If I reach this goal I can LEVEL UP! i.e. I can invest into new equipment, a better camera and a new PC to be more precise. But, you know, LEVEL UP! just sounds so much betetr than "buy new stuff"...
