Gameumentary launched at the beginning of 2017 with one goal in mind: To tell the stories behind the games we play.

We knew from the beginning that we wanted to do documentaries about video games and the people behind them, but we didn't know if it was possible for a team of volunteers with no budget to accomplish. Luckily, in March 2017, Runic Games gave us the chance to prove ourselves, and to you, that we could.

On May 30th, 2017 we released our first documentary telling the story of Runic Games. Following that, we launched a Kickstarter campaign in August 2017 to get the base amount of funding we needed to produce a number of other documentaries over the course of 2017 - 2018.

Our documentaries aren't just behind the scenes videos of how games are developed. They tell the stories of the people behind the games you play. We want to show you the struggles, the accomplishments and the excitement these extraordinary people go through on a daily basis to bring you just a few, or potentially hundreds of hours of entertainment.

GOAL

We actually don't have any monetary goals for this campaign. We've left out Patreon page up for fans of Gameumentary that want to support what we are doing and receive some extra benefits like Early Access to new content and having their name immortalized in the stories we tell.

We want our community to be a part of helping build a platform for stories to be told.

CURRENT CONTENT SCHEDULE

  • Divinity: Original Sin Documentary (2018)
  • Unannounced Project (2019)
  • Unannounced Project (2019)

RELEASED DOCUMENTARIES (LAST UPDATE 8/29/2018)

WHAT ELSE DO WE DO?

Gameumentary doesn't just produce documentaries, we produce some other exciting content as well. We're always coming up with new ideas, but the other content we currently release on YouTube are Reviews in 2 Minutes and Developer Interviews.

FINAL THOUGHTS

We hope you enjoy the content we've already made. The entire team is incredibly passionate about what we're trying to accomplish, and with your support we can do even more than we are doing already.

We're a small team of relatively unknown people in the games industry looking to make a name for ourselves by producing quality content our audience is proud to support.

Thank you for taking the time to check out Gameumentary!
