About

In August 2018 John Sparrow, an eight year old South African boy, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes mellitus, a manageable but lifelong disease. To monitor his blood sugar he requires Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) sensors costing 2000 Rand or $135 per month, which is just not affordable to his parents.

To help pay these costs his six year old brother Gary came up with a plan: To make and sell his own recipe mayonnaise. He makes it from scratch in his family kitchen and sells it in his neighbourhood.

Gary has managed to raise R13,000 to support his brother for six months, and with your help we can support John and other children with the same disease. Watch the video for the full story.
