About
Hi, my name is Gaura Rader.
Here’s a little about me:
I have B.Sc. in psychology and an M.A. in philosophy from the University of Florida. After graduating I taught introduction to ethics classes at Santa Fe College in Gainesville Florida. I currently teach philosophy as an adjunct instructor at Zane State College.
I am also currently a graduate student at Ohio University where I am pursuing a PhD in social psychology specializing in moral psychology and a second M.A. in philosophy. You can never have too many degrees in philosophy.
Although I’m interested almost every area of philosophy my areas of specialization are ethics, political philosophy, and moral psychology.
One of my main areas of interest is basic income, also known as universal basic income or basic income guarantee. I blog fairly often on that topic and am hoping to publish a book on basic income by the end of 2105. I’m also hoping to publish an introductory ethics textbook within the same time frame.
I live in Athens Ohio with my lovely wife and super awesome four year old daughter.
When not doing philosophy I enjoy reading (things other than philosophy), being outdoors (walking, hiking, biking, canoeing), playing and occasionally watching basketball, yoga, and perfecting my latest vegan gluten free soy free recipe. (I’m on a mission to come up with the perfect pizza crust for my daughter who has food allergies.)

I blog and make videos about philosophy, mostly ethics, politics, basic income, and the global occupy movement, which I'm trying to start :).
I'd would really like to spend my full time promoting and organizing what I see envision as the next phase of the occupy movement. I've written a couple of blogs posts about that:

Basic income is something that I'm also extremely passionate about. The world needs basic income, and the sooner the better! I'd like to imagine that more people talking about basic income and blogging about basic income will speed up the process.

I have an initial goal of getting up to $500 per month of support which would allow me to have enough time to spend 5-10 hours per week on my blog and social media activities.
Eventually I'd like to get to $1,000 per month which would allow me to work on content creation for 10-20 hours per week!!!
