About

Greetings, I'm GeauxJenGeaux (GJG), I provide pro-bono support and awareness creation for local minority owned businesses and organizations and by hosting events that bring attention to local talents and companies that you may not hear about otherwise. As well as, hosting community events that educate the black and brown community in defeating racial disparity in a number of fields.

As the Founder and CEO of a black-owned, woman-owned business. I understand what it means for someone to promote my business to their friends and family with no strings attached. It's that security in knowing someone else knows you exist and appreciates your good or service.
Some of my events include:
  1. GJG Community Talks. Where we focus on an area of disparity such as in education, finance or healthcare and have a professional in that field talk us through tips to defeat that disparity.
  2. GJG Community Spotlight. On the GJG website and Instagram, I highlight local businesses doing great things within the community.
  3. GJG Shut it Down events. I find a local creatives that need exposure and I empower/highlight them by selling out their events and flooding social media with post to boost their subscribers/followers.. (I'm pleased to say that I've hosted numerous events like these and they all have sold out every time!)
  4. GJG Fit Events. I'll teach a pop up and encourage an active, healthy lifestyle.
  5. Influencing. Through GJG, I've been able to pose as a brand ambassador for numerous black and brown-owned business and increase their customers and support base. Sometimes I use my platform more for "Conscious posting" where I post meaningful content while wearing clothing and/or jewelry from black and brown minority businesses I aim to support.
  6. "The Black List". This is a free all encompassing list of Black-Owned businesses in the Houston area ranging from Nail salons, to gyms, to photographers. If you would like to receive the list or have your business included in the ever-growing list, go to www.GeauxJenGeaux.com and subscribe!
I'm EXTREMELY PROUD that all of the fore mentioned is done pro bono. As you probably can guess, this is pretty time consuming and takes up resources for one person tp handle and it limits what needs to be accomplished. Your support means further developing the GJG Community, expanding the team and potentially providing scholarships (if the budget allows).

Please join my efforts in increasing positive representation of Black and Brown owned businesses and reducing the plague of disparity within the community.

Blessings,
Jen :)
