Milestone Goals
Art Supplies & Business Tools
With this much money I will be able to buy some nice art supplies and improve my art business (website, bookkeeping, email and such).
Extra Time to Create
Reaching this goal will allow me to take an occasional day off from my day job to create more artwork.
Video Camera
Hitting this level will help me buy
a good quality video camera so I can start making better videos to promote my art.
New Computer
A much needed computer upgrade will help me in many ways, but the bottom line is that I'll be able to get more work done.
Studio Upgrades
Once I hit this goal I can buy some new studio furniture and equipment that will help me be more comfortable and organized.
Go Part-Time
It has always been my dream to be an artist full time. Reaching this goal will make it possible for me to go part-time at my day job... getting me that much closer to my dream!
Be a Full-Time Artist!
This would be a life-long dream come true. I would be able to quit my regular job and be an artist full-time!
About
I’m a fine artist, illustrator
and sign maker. I live in Buffalo, New York with my lovely wife Janice and our cat Madison. I work mostly in graphite, ink, colored pencils and watercolor... but I like to occasionally experiment with other mediums too.

Hi there! I’m Gene Ploss, and I
love to draw faces. I enjoy how each face has it's own personality and tells it's own story. When I’m not drawing faces I like to draw other things that interest me… like trees, landscapes, animals, still life and old timey stuff.
I'm also a sign maker, so I do some graphic design work and I like to play around with lettering and word art.
I create several new pieces of artwork every week and post them here. Click on the "Creations" link above to check it out. I usually work pretty small (art cards, 5x7s and the occasional 8x10). I can create these small pieces fairly quickly, so that means I can make a lot of them! Creating interesting artwork is an obsession for me, and I really enjoy posting that artwork for my patrons.
What is Patreon exactly?
Patreon brings creators and patrons together. It’s a crowd-funding site like kickstarter. But instead of raising lots of money for a huge project, it’s about accepting small amounts of money to support your favorite artists who create more regularly and on a smaller scale. It can be as little as $1 per month and you can cancel any time you want. No stress!.. and you get rewards!
I love creating, but I don’t have a lot of time to do it. My dream is to be a full-time artist and make a living in the process. If you like my artwork and you want me to make more, please consider becoming a patron. With your help I'll be one step closer to achieving my goal!
If you have a suggestion for a drawing or would like to own some of my artwork please read below.
