Thankfully, our friends and supporters helped us complete that project, and now musicians and creatives all over the place are being encouraged by the book.
But I realized something as we promoted the book...There's more to share. And while I enjoy writing and blogging every week at GodandGigs.com, it would be even better if we could make a direct connection with you and give you a voice in the discussion.
So, we want to go a step further and produce a podcast / show in which artists discuss real life, the creative lifestyle and how we can excel in every area of our lives.
Here's the nitty-gritty details of what this Patreon drive is about:
- We're producing a bi-weekly podcast for artists that will include interviews, discussion, and interaction through audience-driven topics and questions. We can provide exclusive access for you to top-line artists through email and questions read to our guests on-air.
- As our Patreon community grows, we'll purchase better audio / microphone equipment so we can increase the quality of the show as we gain experience.
- We'll be able to reach out to a national audience through advertising and sponsorship opportunities that will keep the show affordable to our Patreons.
We are hoping to have the first podcast air in mid July 2017.
Who will host the show?
Myself, and my amazing friend Cristyle Renae. You'll LOVE her, I promise. She's hilarious, thoughtful and most importantly, she's in the trenches of the artist lifestyle just like many of us. So when we discuss topics, it'll be honest, authentic, and immediately applicable to the everyday artist.
It will be available on iTunes, Stitcher and through the God and Gigs blog. Core and Creators will be able to listen to the show early through Patreon and special links that will be emailed to you.
How often would I be charged?
We're anticipating 2 episodes a month, so simply double your pledge and that's the estimated amount you'd be charged monthly from Patreon. The good thing is that you're pledging PER EPISODE. If we don't make an episode, no funds are charged.
All proceeds go directly to producing the next show, marketing the podcast, and improving the listener experience.
Do I have to sign up to the Patreon site?
Yes, but you don't have to accept rewards. You can pledge anonymously.
What do I gain by joining this campaign?
You'll be helping to impact the lives of faith-focused creatives that want to strengthen their faith, improve their careers, and treasure their relationships.
Oh, and you get cool stuff. Before anyone else does. Such as:
Mentions of your music / project / events on the show
Early access to episodes
Bonus interviews and behind the scenes access
Check out the levels of patronage we're offering and see where you can fit in. Every little bit helps.
Ok, I've said a lot. But all you have to do is check this out, see if you can afford a little change or more a month for our episodes, and then help us bring more clarity and vision to fellow artists like you. I'm hoping you'll be a part of this exciting new project!
