Hi! We're Good Brews Bad Views, more commonly known as Max, James, and Ryan. We host a bimonthly podcast where we look a good long look at what a lot of people consider to be a bad movie and find out if it really just is that a bad movie. Sometimes they are and sometimes they are not.
To aid us in our venture we also drink a wide variety of craft beer, sometimes fresh from the tap of the numerous local breweries of Michigan, some times from various ventures to other parts of the country, but mostly because we saw it on the shelf at our local bottle shop and used the podcast as justification to buy it. Whatever the reason it ended up in our fridge it tends to enhance the experience of watching terrible movies.

What's the format you ask? Our podcast is designed to be watched alongside the movie as a somewhat inebriated commentary track. We begin each episode informing you the listener where you can watch the movie should you choose to join us, but we do our best to narrate what is happening on screen so seeking out some of these films isn't absolutely required. Now you may be saying to yourself "Gee entity writing this blurb this sounds a lot like that show with Robot Puppets in a theater on a space station" Well we are going to stop you right there, that show you may be thinking of primarily cracks wise at the movie, which while we love to do is not our thing. Instead we take a good long look at how these "movies" function as movies, what are their failures and faults but what is also to be celebrated about them. Sure the plot of a movie may make little sense, but it's well shot and the fight choreography is pretty nuts, but let's not talk about the acting chops of the lead, for example. We also often have guests on our show that bring a new perspective that we would otherwise miss out on, and often make us aware of a movie we otherwise  would never have known about.

So what can you do to help? Well podcasting isn't free despite them being free to listen to and download., and it doesn't pay the bills. Equipment may suddenly fail on Saturday afternoons where you were supposed to record two episodes, your laptop may explode, or that new limited release is just a little too pricey to justify. On top of file hosting, domain registering, and numerous other things it all adds up. We aren't asking for much, maybe just to break even on a month to month basis. Anything more than that would allow us to do more things aside from recording and would take some pressure off us in the event of equipment failure,

What do you get out of this? Aside from our eternal gratitude, Patrons at all levels get access to some kind of additional content: blog posts, bonus episode where we do something other than watch a movie, and a chance to influence what we do on the podcast. if there is enough interest we would love to increase our release schedule.

Anything Else? This entire venture started off when Max Drunk Tweeted the Super Mario Bros movie while drinking an entire bottle of New Holland's Dragons Milk, a light bulb clicking in James' head, and Ryan sharing his extensive movie knowledge but has since become something that has become part of our lives and a reason to sit back and have fun with our friends, have a laugh, and find out if that movie was really as bad as people said it was. We hope you come along for the ride.
