GREAT RIVER CHORALE is an acclaimed 53-voice adult choir based in Saint Cloud, Minnesota, that is dedicated to enriching the community through choral excellence. Members of Great River Chorale are skilled choral singers from across Central Minnesota between the ages of 23 and 75. Each season Great River Chorale presents concerts with local and regional guest artists, performs with the Saint Cloud Symphony Orchestra, and participates in outreach and/or benefit concerts for local and regional organizations that serve the wider community. Great River Chorale’s artistic managing director is Dr. Mary Kay Geston and its accompanist is collaborative pianist Barbara Brooks.

  • Principal Choral Partner of the Saint Cloud Symphony Orchestra
  • Featured on Classical Minnesota Public Radio’s "Regional Spotlight" and on MPR's "Choral Stream"
  • Chosen three times to be included on Classical MPR's "Taste of the Holidays," a promotional CD featuring the best of Minnesota's regional ensembles 
  • Headlined the 2015 Northern Voice Festival at the Ordway Concert Hall, Saint Paul, MN
  • Released A Merry Little Christmas, a CD of holiday music, in 2015
  • 2018 release scheduled of Beautiful River, a CD of American folksongs, hymns and spirituals
  • Toured and presented concerts in Ireland in June 2018
  • Founded in 2001 and registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
