"How To Be A Carver" tutorial series
BECAUSE THERE HAS BEEN SO MUCH INTEREST IN CHAINSAW CARVING, I'm going to ask some really great carvers to collaborate with me on a video tutorial series on how to get started with chainsaw carving. This is going to require a lot of travel and crew days but I promise it will be informative, fun and will feature some amazing artists that you SHOULD know about.

Who am I?
I’m Griffon Ramsey, an artist, entrepreneur, and YouTube personality in Austin, Texas. I have always been a creator and feel very fortunate to have built a career out of doing what I love and sharing it with the world.
What exactly do I do?
In 2011, I picked up my first chainsaw and immediately fell in love with its power, versatility, and speed. My wood carvings are often inspired by fantasy, the supernatural, pop and gaming culture. One of the perks of my job is getting to travel to chainsaw carving events and competitions around the world. I love road trips and going any place new.
My Youtube channel [youtube.com/griffonramsey] is the place where I share my creative adventures with the world. Each week I upload a new video featuring my process; how I find inspiration, gather materials, and finally sculpt my design with chainsaws and other tools. Filming my process and posting it publicly allows me to engage with my online community and collaborate openly with other creative people.
One of my favorite parts of what I do is interacting with the community. Listening to YOUR ideas, and seeing YOUR reactions online makes every bit of hard work worth it. I have so many ideas that I want to share with you. Lately I’ve been trying to come up with ways to sustain my Youtube channel and launch new creative endeavors while listening to the people in my community more. I crave collaboration of all types and I believe that Patreon will help us work together!
My videos will always remain free and accessible to all, but with regular support and sponsorship I can devote more energy to creating a truly special online experience for those who wish to participate. I have big ideas for future projects; large-scale collaborations, comics, podcasts and a separate ASMR/relaxation channel with my friends - but I can’t do it all on my own. A small donation from you would go a long way to helping me gather equipment, hire crew members, maintain studio space, and allow me to create even more art and entertainment for you!
