Guelph Politico began in 2008 as a way to express my thoughts on local politics and to cover local political events and elections. Now though, Guelph Politico needs to be much, much more.

My goal with this Patreon is to turn Guelph Politico into an original, and much needed, independent media outlet in the City of Guelph, dedicated to cover local politics and issues with new eyes, and attuned to the modern media landscape. Guelph Politico will live blog from city council meetings, post podcasts with local characters, and cover the day-to-day news with a unique edge and emphasis on issues not normally covered by the mainstream press.

$248 of $1,000 per month
It has begun. Thanks to you, Guelph has a new reader supported news outlet with new posts every other day, a bi-weekly podcast, and ongoing coverage of city council meetings. This is an excellent start, but there's still room to grow!
