Full-time content production & Monthly raffle for all Patrons
Roughly equivalent to full-time work at 40 hours a week of contribution means more content generated! At this point, I'm looking to bring you guys about 1 building per week at the highest possible quality. Additonally, one Patron will help strongly influence a future content release! On the
first of each month, all current Patrons will be entered in to a
raffle. The winner will be announced later that day, and I will contact
her/him so we can discuss 1-on-1 about what content the winner wants to
see the most!
YouTube tutorial series
Modeling & Modding tutorial series on YouTube, relevant to Cities:
Skylines. In this public video series, I'll go in-depth over some of my
methods, approaches, techniques and tools used in the content
production. These videos are free to use, and Patreon supporters would
not be charged for their release.

I enjoy content creation for Cities:Skylines (CSL), and I'm currently in between jobs in the games industry. I'd love to generate content for a community that loves to mod their games, but the process takes a bit of time that takes away from my job search. So while I'm on the lookout for full-time work, or contracts as they come up, this is something I feel like we can all enjoy! More content!
THE LOW DOWN:
When I was a kid, I never imagined that PEOPLE actually made games. Instead, I was pretty convinced that games came from some sort of magical realm. Keeping that dream alive is harder and harder each day, but I still want to believe that certain artists are just straight up magicians. I hope to one day be that awesome!
THE REALITY:
The games industry is experiencing one of the hardest times right now. Many students are graduating from Game Art schools, many companies are going through layoffs as the economy is improving (that's right, the better the economy is doing, the less people are playing games! sad days!).
I, too, was laid off from the industry... specifically, Maxis of Emeryville in their final months. To keep my dream alive, I need to find work soon, or it might be time to start cleaning dishes and wrapping burritos. Instead, I'd rather be here working on artwork to inspire generations to come.
THE PROCESS:
Usually, a building takes about 15-30 hours to generate depending on the size and the complexity. This is everything from models, textures, UV's and actual game integration. This is a significant amount of time taken out of my weeks that I could be looking for a job.
WHERE THE MONEY GOES:
I'm going to be straight with all of you. I don't intend on getting "Notch" rich off of any of this. All I want to do is be able to afford my coffee, buy my girlfriend a dinner, and pay all of my student loans off. Speaking of loans, as I speak to you today, one day before the biggest Pi day in our lifetime (3/13/2015), I HAVE OVER $77,000 LEFT IN STUDENT LOANS TO PAY OFF. Every single dollar I make could go towards paying off those loans. While I realize that my student loans are my responsibility, I can assure you that my goal right now is to get them paid.
With all that in mind, rather than forcing me to work at a fast-food joint, support me so I can become a better artist and make the prettiest pixels on the planet!! Thanks for stopping by!
