About
I make The Adventures of Gyno-Star, a feminist superhero parody comic strip. You'd love it. I'm also the mastermind behind Rebecca Cohen Art, where I post comics ranging from the socially conscious to the silly to the sublime (if you think gross-out sexy Halloween costumes and stuff like that is sublime).

What exactly does Rebecca do, anyway?
I make comics. Here are some of them:

What's this Patreon thing all about?
Patreon is a crowdfunding site that allows fans to support their favorite creators. Instead of giving a one time donation to fund a specific project, you pledge a monthly amount to support my ongoing work. You can change your pledge or cancel at any time.
Why does Rebecca need your support?
All my comics are available online for free, and I want to keep it that way. But I also have to pay the bills. With your support I can do both. I'll also be able to make MORE COMICS -- the more I can support myself making the comics, the less time I have to spend doing other jobs. Money also funds the production of prints and merchandise and books and stuff.
If the comics are free anyway, why should you pay?
Well you can think of it like donating to your local public radio station; you don't have to do it. The radio programming will still be available for free, because other people are willing to pledge. But somebody needs to pay for it, and if you're enjoying it, pledging is just the right thing to do. Plus the programming will be better if the station's well funded. PLUS... rewards! To wit:
LIVE IN THE FUTURE
$2/month - You get to see tomorrow's comic today. Spoil it for others if you like, I don't care. You've earned it.
YOUR NAME IN LIGHTS
$5/month - You'll be included in a list of "Amazing Patrons" on my website. Everyone should know how generous you are.
APPEAR IN A COMIC
$20/month - Be a background character in a comic strip, and receive a signed print of that comic.
