Hello, I'm Hamish! I believe that computer simulations have opened up new ways for human beings to communicate sophisticated ideas. The video games and education sectors should be taking advantage of this, but they aren't! I make software that is trying to show what we can do now.

I'm making educational simulations. For now they're mostly demonstrated through youtube, for example this one about 4D rotations and this one about Maryam Mirzakhani.

I made Virus: The Beauty of the Beast and The Stranger Loop, which are interactive documentaries, respectively about the structure of viruses and 2D topology.

I used to work in the games industry, where I independently developed the game Music of the Spheres. I've also written about how video game level design can be used to communicate about systems, for example Portal and Castlevania. The rest of my work can be found here. I also did level design work on a Hello Kitty game which you will never see!

I've worked as a biologist, a maths teacher, and an event organizer at a political think tank. I live in the UK - hit me up if you wanna hang oot!

I am very interested in collaborating with other science youtubers :)

Sign up and you'll get access to the behind-the-scenes stuff, which will involve more rigorous maths ;D
