Hi, I'm Harley. I built RoutineHub. RoutineHub is a growing community for sharing and version-controlling Siri Shortcuts on iOS.

Siri Shortcuts have a huge potential to help everyone be more productive, yet currently it's marketed more towards power users. The average user has a hard time understanding exactly how to use them or how to make one. Another issue I discovered when I started using Shortcuts is that there isn't a great place to share them or for Shortcut authors to let their users know that there is an update for the Shortcuts they have made.

My goal for RoutineHub is for it to be a community that alleviates these problems. Here are some the features that are currently a part of RoutineHub:

  • Share Siri Shortcuts - Show what apps it uses, give instructions on how to use it, and keep track of how many people have downloaded it.
  • Version-controlling - Update your Shortcut easily. With UpdateKit integration, you can update it straight from the RoutinePub Shortcut.
  • Vote - If you love a shortcut, upvote it. If it's not a great contribution, downvote it.
  • Feedback - Get help from a Shortcut's author, or just say thanks!
  • Report malicious shortcuts - Help keep the community safe if you've found a shortcut that is malicious.

These are some of the features that I'd like to develop:

  • Follow shortcuts - You would get notifications for new versions.
  • Follow other users - You would get notifications about what Shortcuts they publish, or have started following themselves.
  • Media - Show media for a Shortcut to help explain what a Shortcut does.
  • Show what a Shortcut does - Basic parsing of Shortcuts so that you can see what they Shortcut does before you even download it.
  • Remix a Shortcut - Love a Shortcut but want to modify it for your own use? Click Remix and upload your version of it for others to see.

Hosting, maintaining and developing new features for RoutineHub takes time and money. Currently hosting is around $20/month and this will only grow as the community grows. I also put around 20 hours of work a week into RoutineHub. That's why I've started this Patreon. I'm coming to the Shortcut authors and users for help to keep this site alive and growing.

I am also considering working with app developers with apps that integrate with Shortcuts to help them advertise on the site as well, but because the site is still in it's early days, there isn't much incentive for them to advertise. I will definitely be evaluating the need for a Patreon down the road if this changes drastically, but for the time being the site will run primarily on donations.

If you use RoutineHub in any way and want to see the community grow, please consider pledging. It will ensure that new features will be added, bugs will be fixed and the site will stay online.

Thanks for your time and support!
