Who are you?
Hi! I'm Hedy! I write things. When I was a child, I wrote a fantasy story about a 12-year old fighting to protect a magical orb from an evil wizard; I'm glad to say that the manuscript has since been lost to the bottom drawer of time. I had a dream of being the next JK Rowling, sickeningly enough - now I have a dream of being the first me. This is an interesting dream to pursue, because despite 22 years of asking, I'm not quite sure who me is. I'm looking forward to meeting them someday.

Yes, but what do you actually write?
I've written poetry and plays (a couple of which I've had the opportunity to bring onstage); I'm currently working on more poems, and dabbling in short stories and longer prose fiction. My work deals a lot with identity, and how an individual can affect their environment and community for better or worse.
In terms of genre, I'm all over the place; I've worked with comedy (with limited success) and straightforward drama, as well as speculative fiction and horror.

Check out mypoeticside.com for poems and [pending] for prose. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you take an interest in and enjoy my work, and I hope you become a Patron!
