About

I'm Herro, I go by a lot of different names, but that's my "Art" one! Chances are if you found this page, maybe you've heard of me before! If so, GREAT! If not! RUN, YOU WONT LIKE IT HERE...

About six or so years ago, I started drawing art. I wasn't great at it, in fact the only reason I did start drawing in the first place is because no one wanted to draw my own dumb ideas, lol. I have no formal artist training. I ain't never been to any art school, life drawing, still life, you name it- didn't do it. (Though I wish like hell I had now!) As far as it goes, I'm just another person who decided to try it out and liked it. That's not to say I'm not glad I did!

Anyway, at some point over those last six years, I got "OK" at it. People enjoy my stuff, and I'm glad as heck they do. People offer me money to draw things, I can't complain about that one bit! I draw what I love to, and I get to show it to people, and they like it. Some of them buy it, that's awesome to me! Suffice to say, at some point along the way, I made it into the "spotlight" with my mediocre art.

Well hey there!
YOU MADE IT THIS FAR I GUESS I DID SOMETHING RIGHT.

Please read below so I can explain what the heck I'm doing here!

(it's not what it looks like I swear)

Disclaimer:
By pledging to my page you are agreeing to be over the age of 18.

First off, my Patreon is a little different that most. I only have one Pledge tier, and it's only $1.00

You can of course donate more than a dollar, but that's what I'm asking! Out of that dollar, after the fees, and all that ,I only get ~$0.60 of that actually going to myself. But like, that's all I really need, ya know?

What the dollar goes to, is at the end of each month, I gather up all the names of people who pledged a dollar or more, and enter them all in a "live-streamed" raffle for one free, full color, commission. If, by some miracle, the same person wins it twice in a row, they'll get the picture, as well as another redraw for a new person. If somehow, those two people win again (lol) then they'll both get a free picture, and I'll redraw again for a new third one, and so on... Obviously I hope the same person doesn't win twice! But just to make things fair, that's how I'm going to handle that- I'm really out, above all, to make this as fair, and as inclusive, as a raffle style thing can be. That's what I'd want, and speaking of that...

When I think raffles, usually, when there's a lot of people entered, you kind of get this hopeless feeling of "Well what the hell are my chances out of ____ people!?" I get that same feeling too, I know how that is. That's why I made it just a dollar. If I'm out a dollar every month, I'm not going to be that upset about it. Hell if I lose every month for a year (god forbid!) then I'm out $12.00. For me, I can live with that. I hope that y'all see it that way too! And if not, hey, you don't have to donate at all! I realize this whole passage is probably dumb and unnecessary, but I just felt like I had to put it there haha.

If you have any questions about this stuff, feel free to send me a message here!

That's the meat of it! I'd appreciate if you read what I put below too though, it kinda explains why I'm doing this to begin with! Thanks a bunch, either way, though ♥

Well, I'm Herro, I go by a lot of different names, but that's my "Art" one!

I draw what I love to, and I get to show it to people, and they like it. Some of them buy it, that's awesome to me! Suffice to say, at some point along the way, I made it into the "spotlight" with my mediocre art.

Now that's all well and good! People say I'm alright at what I do, I think I have a lot to learn. I never intended for this whole thing to become so big for me, and even still- It's just my hobby. In doing that I release all the art I make into free domain for people to do whatever with, I figure, "Hey I made it, now what?" And with the "now what," I basically just gave it to the internet, so to speak. People have used my art to make money themselves, selling prints, paysites, "Russian Paysites," toys, posters, games, "Dakimakura's" ( If you don't know what that is, save yourself and don't bother looking it up lol) among other things.

(If you'd like to read about my feelings expressing the usage of my art in detail, It's all here.)

I don't see a dime of that money, and I don't expect to. That's exactly what I wanted, -I had the fun of creating it, I had the fun of showing it off, and now it's going on and being used to help make someone else do something with it. My vision has always been like that. I wanted to be an artist, who was just like their fans. I'm a hell of fan of other artists myself, that's really where a good chunk of my own money goes every month haha. I treat every person I can just how I'd want to be treated if they were in my shoes. I like being connected to everyone who loves my art, I like that idea that there's not much, if any, separation between the Artist, and the Fan.

In doing so, its had a couple hurdles. People impersonating me, people taking money for commissions in my name, myself getting in trouble on a huge scale because of my new notoriety when I mess up. Things like that. It comes with the territory. I do all the footwork to handle these things myself, and I don't mind. I've never met with someone who didn't, after talking, agree to level with me and work things out. It's laborious, for sure, but it's worth it for me. I also do reply to every piece of mail I get, comment on my art, and questions I receive, and so far for the last six years, I have been doing just that without missing much of a step. If you want to ask me how long it takes me to catch up with all that stuff on a daily basis, trust me, you don't want to know lol.

By this point you're probably wondering " HERRO WHAT THE HELL WHERE ARE YOU GOING WITH THIS..."

Well! Basically what I'm up to, to be frank- Is, yes, I would love to make some money on the side- I don't know if me working my butt off to keep up with self caused duties is really a "cause," but I mean hey. It takes me a long time to keep in touch with the community I'm involved in. I don't get paid to correspond with people, I don't get paid to draw and post most of the art that I do, and I still do it out of love. But those are hours I'm not sleeping, I'm not at my job, I'm not with my friends, or out. That's just me, the computer, and a task at hand.

Is that worth paying for? Well that's up to you!
