Hey Drums is an Australian blog featuring regular interviews with female and non-binary drummers about their experiences performing and touring, their inspirations, practice tips and more.

More than 70 drummers have contributed interviews to the site since 2016.

The Hey Drums facebook group is a reference point for the blog as well as an online community for sharing thoughts, other interviews, articles and resources.

The purpose of this Patreon page is to recoup some of the costs of setting up and maintaining the blog.

The blog has been created by Nat Grant, an independent drummer, percussionist, and composer from Melbourne. Nat is passionate about subverting the stereotype that only men play drums, by sharing as many interviews as possible and creating a strong network of interesting, experienced, and awesome diverse drummers.

Nat does not get paid for this. The drummers interviewed do not get paid either.

Ongoing, it would be ideal to be able to start paying for interviews. Musicians do so much for free and all the drummers interviewed so far have been incredibly generous with their time.

Supporters will be named on the site, or listed as anonymous if they wish.
