Hey everyone! I'm PK and I like making art for others to enjoy.

I have a webcomic at Floraverse
And my main gallery is  purplekecleon on dA, my tumblr is purplekecleon and my twitter is papayakitty

I have two other Patreons (Floraverse and my NSFW one Forbidden Flora) that I've been running for months now, which allow me the support I need to keep releasing free stories.

With everyone's help, I'd like to do the same here for art tutorials. After making a color tutorial, How I See Color, I went through hundreds and hundreds of people's comments telling me how helpful it's been to them over the past years, even though it's so old and outdated! I'd like to do better than that now, and hopefully deliver more helpful information.

Why tutorials, though? Well, I like providing resources to artists, but it's incredibly hard to find time for things outside of my two comic Patreons. I always make time for new projects and things, and I'm sure I can fit this one into my schedule for one simple fact: I have to make art for my world building exercises for Floraverse all the time, which is the perfect grounds to make art videos to release and talk about. I already stream all the time on my Livestream channel, but it'd be nicer to take videos and do something a little more active with them. Taking all the extra projects I have and using the artwork from them for tutorials is the perfect middle ground to help further the other projects while helping you guys out.

Things I have planned are talks and tutorials on: color (including lighting, choosing color, palettes, etc), character design, art block, backgrounds, lineart, and much more.

I personally know how expensive it is to attend art school
- it's increasingly not worth it to attend schools for creative endeavors when so many cheaper resources and free resources exist online. The difficult part about it is finding a good place to get feedback, which can be the turning point for artists...

...which brings me to the Critique Service. It will be a guaranteed place to get feedback, drawn redlines, and, of course, critique. In the past I've tried to give little critiques to people when asked and when I have the time, but this will be a guaranteed way to get some real feedback. This can be useful when you feel like you just need an extra push to get you going.

Depending on what everyone wants to see first, we'll touch upon different topics first. Everything will be released for free after it hits this Patreon, but those supporting the Patreon have a much bigger say in what direction I take my talks and tutorials.

In the future I'll do art podcasts about a variety of topics with planned guests and questions from supporters.

Thank you guys for checking it out, and if it sounds good to you, please consider helping support the resources!
