My name is River Kero and I am a 21-year-old queer artist based out of Vancouver, Britsh Columbia.

My graphic novel practice focusses on themes of identity, relationships, and connection, and I prioritize humour and storytelling in my work. I create slice-of-life comics exploring mental health, identity, and artmaking, as well as science fiction comics featuring queer characters, and the occasional fantasy or horror work.

Most of my comics are made using blue pencil and pen on paper, but I also experiment with mix media, collage, watercolour, ink and brush, and digital media. I also write scripts and I have an extensive drawing portfolio.

Identity, self-exploration, and storytelling are the driving forces behind my art practice.
