Hello.  I am writing a memoir of my days as a hospital orderly in hospitals during 1967-1970.  I got the idea to do this when I became a patient in a Brooklyn hospital, for the first time in my life, this year.  I saw the doctors running around trying to get in front of the keyboard to do their paper work, or should I say pixel work.  Anyway, they looked lost without the computer.

This took me back to the Massachusetts General Hospital, my first full time job, where the surgeries were listed in chalk on a blackboard just the way they did in school--nearly 50 years ago.  I worked in practically every operating room in the Mass General, which took up a city block in downtown Boston.  So I shook my head a few times to get those memories back in consciousness and set them down in pixels.

I worked in four hospitals.  Each hospital is a chapter.  I have finished the first two chapters.  It's slow going for me.  My treatment in the hospital included surgery, which kind of knocked the wind out of me.  I need a bit of a boost to finish this thing, hopefully, this year.  That's why I am asking for your pledge, to get Hospital Days firmly in the done column.

Of course, you might want to check what I've already written.  The first two chapters are available in Word, if you would like me to email them to you.

I am of an age when I forget things and lose things.  I want to finish Hospital Days before I lose too many more brain cells.

Thank you for your attention.
