About Hugo Fisher

Introductory Words

Greetings, beautiful human readers! Many of you might know me from the depths of reddit. If that's the case, isn't my pseudonym quite a masterpiece?

For those that stumbled upon my page, you can check my work at reddit.com/r/ahumongousfish.

Now, let's get serious here for a moment. I'm Hugo Fisher, I'm a fantasy author from Argentina. I've been writing for a year or two now, time that has been more than enough to make me realize how much I love this craft.

Why you should support me?

That's a fine question you got there, and I will answer it truthfully.

I love writing, I truly do. It's what I was born to do, my dream job, you could say. Soon, I will be moving out and living by myself, and I will have to juggle college, work and writing. With your help, I might be able to work less time and dedicate that to writing more.

The currency in my country is quite weak, and so every dollar helps a ton. This is particularly catastrophic for me when I have to pay for editing and marketing. Those things for me are extremely expensive.

So, I guess I answered another question there. Every penny you give me I will invest it in a proper editor and reducing my working hours.

But, everyone has struggles and dreams, so why should you really support me? I believe the only proper answer is stating what makes me unique: my stories.

  • Have you gotten lost and wandered across my peculiar worlds?
  • Did they evoke something deep within you?
  • Did they manage to snatch a smile out of you, or perhaps a tear?
If the answer is yes, then that would fill me with joy. For it means I've made a good job.

What have you written so far?

I've written a lot of things throughout my journey. However, there are two particular prompts that have turned into full books, which I'm planning on releasing soon after I finish editing them:

  • One Hell of a Chicken Soup / Tom's Hellish Craving: Tom wakes up with an unusual craving for his deceased grandmother’s chicken soup. In the attic, he finds his grandma’s cooking book, and among the many recipes he finds the desired one.

Excited, Tom starts reading the recipe out loud, unaware he was summoning a quite peculiar demon. Soon, he finds himself in a conundrum: should he stay in the safe and boring Earth, or should he plunge into the swirling portal to Hell the demon has opened for him?

Well… they say Hell has the best chicken soup.

Tom’s Hellish Craving is a comedy novel where chaos, food, mythical creatures and war combine to create a ridiculous, yet hilarious story.

  • The Shape of Evil: When the world’s most twisted murderer dies, he’s sent straight to Hell. Lucifer soon notices his presence, and intrigued by the rotten nature of the man’s soul, he calls for him.

Things, however, take a turn when Lucifer offers him the heart of an angel, and the man devours it without the slightest hint of hesitation.
It is then, that the murderer’s body begins to transform, adopting the shape of a wicked, nefarious demon.

Pleased and with an upcoming war against Heaven, Lucifer takes a risk, and names him warlord of Hell’s army.

The Shape of Evil follows the story of Vhrektar, The Black Feather, Warlord of the Hellblood Army, as he commands Hell in a vicious war against Heaven.

$30 would be enough for me to buy scrivener! Which would make the whole formatting process much easier for me.

That would be quite cool, honestly!
