Who are we?
Hyper Light Up is a non-commercial, independent, press coverage website that is focused on covering the art that is, indie games.

The team behind Hyper Light Up is an all-star team that once worked for IGN Greece and later moved on to do something more "indie". Along with the move, we also had a few other people join us, most of them being from places around the world.

HLU is currently steered by Constantine "Kelfecil" Christakis and Dimitris Kalyvas. They are both diligently working day and night to keep the engine running.

What do we do?
With love for covering everything around the indie games community and the love of the indie devs themselves, the team has managed to keep the things rolling for quite a few years now. The HLU team has had the honor of covering a lot of indies since its launch and has had the chance to be involved in a lot of other things indie too, such as being a press affiliate of the Indie Arena Megabooth at Gamescom.

Right now, we are focused on providing review and news content on a daily basis and we are also very keen in building our contacts with interesting livestreamers in order to bring more exposure to the games we cover.

On the website you can find:
Reviews | Previews | Features | News and updates | Live Streams

Why Patreon?
Being non-commercial allows us to focus on what we love to do and lets us do it the way we want to do it. Although we love doing that for the sake of it, there are costs involved. Those costs come mostly in the form of time and a little bit of money, so thus far, we have done our best with trying to support it with our day jobs.

We figured that a good way to support this whole endeavour would be running a patreon page and here we are now!

Through Patreon, we are allowing the people who want to support Hyper Light Up to have a way to do so. By supporting us, you will have the chance to get more involved with what we do and also give us more fuel and motivation to keep going.

Increasing the quality and quantity of our content is our first goal, since we want to give the best kind of coverage we can give for the indie games we get our hands on and Patreon feels only natural for giving us the boost we need in order to keep doing that.

To everyone supporting our content...
Even if you do not end up being one of our Patreons, we want you to know that we appeciate all the support we have received and continue to receive from the fans of our page. It gives us a lot of joy to know that our content has any amount of impact on our readers and it is main reason why we keep doing what we do. Thank you!
$0 of $30 per month
If we reach this goal, we are basically at the point where we can fund the website and some other base costs on a monthly basis. On top of that, we will also:
  • Weekly Streams will start up again!
  • We will let the Patreon community choose games we cover more often.
